The story of Glaetzer family goes back to 1888 when they emigrated from Germany to South Australia.
From there they settled in a country town called Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley where they started their new life in Australia. The family were some of the earliest recorded viticulturalists in the Barossa Valley and Clare Valley.

The Glaetzer mission is to focus, simply on the production of small-volume, super premium Barossa Valley wines.
The company holds a firm belief that the wines are made in the vineyard - a combination of the French notion terroir and Australian vineyard site knowledge.

Winemaker Colin Glaetzer has been referred to as the maker of some of the finest Barossa Valley wines.
Colin is a Baron of the Barossa - a title awarded in recognition of his winemaking skills and his contribution to the cultural traditions of the Barossa Valley.
